Join the Big Easy Budget Coalition

We welcome new members who are committed to increasing investment in the social supports that keep us safe and have the bandwidth to attend coalition meetings, volunteer to serve on a subcommittee or caucus, and, generally, be an active and engaged member. 

From January to June, the Big Easy Budget Coalition meets monthly. From July to December, we meet weekly. Members may join an issue-based caucus: 

• housing 
• basic needs 
• youth 

And/or a community safety or a strategy-based subcommittee: 

• Communications
• Mobilization
• Budget Analysis
• Survey Distribution
• Advocacy

Active, engaged members attend general coalition meetings, join and participate in a caucus or subcommittee, attend coalition events or budget-related hearings, and recruit other people and organizations to join the BEBC. To formally join the coalition, please email BigEasyBudget@gmail.com.
